Modify Files

The Modify Files section of the Contents page, allows actions to be carried out on files that already exist in the application or for specific channels.

Available modifications

Inherited Entitlements

Forces the item to be signed with inherited entitlements, which means it can ONLY operate as a component within the enclosing application.

Main Entitlements

Forces the item to be signed with the same main entitlements as the enclosing application. This will allow helpers and such to be called from outside the main application.

Do not Code sign

Tells App Wrapper to NOT code sign this item.

Delete MAS & Web

Deletes the item when building for both the Mac App Store and website distribution.

Delete MAS

Deletes the item when building for the Mac App Store.

Delete Web

Deletes the item when building for website distribution.

Add a modification

  1. Click on the "+" button in the top right of the page.
  2. If you know the path to the file, select "Manually Add..." and enter the path.
  3. Otherwise choose "Select from source application..." and navigate to the file/folder that needs to be modified.1
  4. Once the item has been added to the list, use the popup menu on the right hand side of the list to select from the available modifications.

1. If this option is not available, drag the application to be modified into the current document.

Remove a modification

Once a modification has been removed, there is no Undo, so it will be gone for good.

  1. Right (or control) click on the item in the list to be removed.
  2. Select "Remove" from the contextual menu.
  3. Click on "Remove" in the confirmation Popover.
